I'm currently the bassist for Scottish folk supergroup Treacherous Orchestra, darling of the folk scene and skilled songstress Kate Rusby, and virtuoso guitarist John Goldie.

As a session musician I have featured on over 60 albums and performed with artists such as Craig Armstrong, Roddy Woomble and Emily Smith.

"Emerging out of a susurrus of electronic sound… the sequence of several movements opened with chiming harmonics and deep, resonant bowed bass before coalescing into steady forward motion. …occasional recourse to the inevitable elaborations on jigs and reels, there were also engaging echoes of Steve Reich-style minimalism…strings and chiming piano drifted sublimely over O’Neill’s walloping bodhran and Lyall’s bass… Lyon’s gentle piano, worked itself into a dramatic climax... then bass and pummelling drums suddenly switched off, to leave a hypnotic flicker of strings and pipes, before it all gradually subsided into a warm-toned conclusion."
